Abraxanealbumin-bound paclitaxel
How it works
Binds to β-tubulin; stabilizes microtubules and inhibits mitosis. Albumin-bound formulation reduces hypersensitivity; nanoparticle delivers drug to tumor stroma.
Cumulative neuropathy is the main toxicity. Early flagging of tingling/numbness is critical to preserve function.
